Firefox to add adverts to the browser :(

Hmm an interesting revenue direction which I'm surprised Google Chrome didn't go down, but Sky news is reporting that Mozilla (owners of firefox) plans to introduce adverts on the pages that appear when a user opens a new tab.

I wonder if that will alienate hard core Firefox users? I suspect not as long as they don't start becoming intrusive or moving into the main browser window.

I've used firefox for so long, and have loved it. I've moved to other browsers to test them out but never use them long enough and end up going back to Firefox eventually.

Adding ads to new tabs isn't a good idea. I don't know about everyone else that uses Firefox, but for me its going to be a deal ender. I kinda see enough adverts on the web.

Adverts are everywhere now, I only have to look to my right and guess what?
