Heard on the news first thing that there are proposals to increase Court fines by 300% - thats a huge increase. I believe that currently a maximum speeding fine is £2500, which could increase to £10,000. Seems ludicrous to me that for "just" speeding, which to be honest we all do, you potentially get punished more than if you do other more serious crimes.
