It seems people are going retro and vinyl records are back in vogue as vinyl records sales hit an 18 year high, breaking the 1 million sales mark.

The Official Chart Company told the BBC it will soon launch a weekly vinyl chart.

"In an era when we're all talking about digital music, the fact that these beautiful physical artefacts are still as popular as they are is fantastic," said Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company.

Have a large collection of vinyl somewhere in the loft collecting dust, next to the big box of CD's which are now all converted to MP3.

Many happy memories saving up pocket money and buying the latest single. But for a practicable purposes, you can't beat having 8000 song's on your iphone and plugged into the car stereo.

Guessing the new vinyl craze is been fuelled by a niche audience?

Could be good news for Kempres and his retro shop

If I have to wager a guess, I'd say I have around 600 records  if not more. I generally run around pawn shops and scoop em up before they're sold for decoupage. Kinda sux, when you have memories connected to albums and singles, and someone else only wants to make a clock out of em.
