Has Anybody seen Good Results with Google Plus Local

From all the above replies, I will take Google+Pages an under construction building, still worthwhile getting your business in there early

If you are in a fairly small niche market and not located in a city, I feel it is possible to get top spot (or near) on Google+ Local fairly quickly with just basic SEO.

In my experience though, the results achieved by this are mediocre. I get maybe 2 or 3 leads a week, which I suppose is not a bad return from a free service.

However, it's definitely worth setting up just to help people who are trying to find your business through Google Maps. It's only half a days work if you do it right.
