If you are in a fairly small niche market and not located in a city, I feel it is possible to get top spot (or near) on Google+ Local fairly quickly with just basic SEO. In my experience though, the results achieved by this are mediocre. I get maybe 2 or 3 leads a week, which I suppose is not a bad return from a free service. Harry Robins

According to Google ,73% of online activity is related to local content which is really interesting. However, it's definitely worth setting up just to help people who are trying to find your business through Google Maps. It's only half a days work if you do it right. FreelanceScribbler
