I dont know about you but I'm fairly bored of all these rows ongoing with MP's over claiming expenses.

Not really sure what all the fuss is about - its simple if someone is "stealing" money from the Public purse, its fraud, its theft and they should go to Prison, except it seems unless you are an MP. You get the chance to apologise and pay it all back and thats it!!

I know what I will do, not pay any tax for the next 2 years, wait until they catch up with me and say sorry and offer to pay what i owe - what do you think they will say to that!

Transparency & Politics, 2 words that just dont mix. Sack ANYONE that breaks the rules, it really is as simple as that.

I don't understand why politicians are allowed to claim for any expenses or tax breaks that the ordinary working person in the UK can't claim for. I understand that some work exceedingly long hours, but then so do some ordinary folk, I get it that politicians can work far away from home, but then again so do some of us plebs.

I do think politicians should get a pay rise and do away with expenses altogether, I certainly don't believe in them having second homes, the Olympic village is more than suitable accommodation for any late night sittings. I also think that any pay rises they get should rather than track say the rate of inflation, it should track the rate of the state pension.

Thanks,

Its shocking, meanwhile us normal people have to make do and struggle along.
