Apparently not only have they withdrawn Sunday roasts but are now offering Christmas fayre without the traditional roast dinner. Plenty of customers around the country not impressed with the decision to replace it with a seasonal buffet. Having never eaten there I'm not bothered, still plenty of local eating places offering festive food. Only ever eat Christmas dinner on Christmas Day. JuliaP

I guess it is work Christmas dos they may well miss out on? Plus the older clientele who are on a budget. Most of the old boys in there are more interested in cheap ale though. Roast dinners are nearly always a let down when you eat out unless it is a decent independent pub, mass produced roast potatoes just don't cut the mustard! As good as my spelling! Last Christmas do I attended was at local Miller & Carter, that was very good. At another employer we always avoided "Christmas Fayre" because of mediocre quality. Found a local Chinese that opened at lunchtime which suited our small group. Has anyone else noticed the dwindling numbers of Chinese restaurants? JuliaP
