Apparently not only have they withdrawn Sunday roasts but are now offering Christmas fayre without the traditional roast dinner.  Plenty of customers around the country not impressed with the decision to replace it with a seasonal buffet.

Having never eaten there I'm not bothered, still plenty of local eating places offering festive food. Only ever eat Christmas dinner on Christmas Day.

Can't imagine having xmas dinner at a Witherspoons, it is what it is, cheap pub grub. Think of witherspoons, I think of burgers

Thought I'd check out what they had to say on their own website, but looks like they are behind schedule...

Whats the date?

I guess it is work Christmas dos they may well miss out on? Plus the older clientele who are on a budget. Most of the old boys in there are more interested in cheap ale though. Roast dinners are nearly always a let down when you eat out unless it is a decent independent pub, mass produced roast potatoes just don't cut the mustard!

As good as my spelling!

Last Christmas do I attended was at local Miller & Carter, that was very good.  At another employer we always avoided "Christmas Fayre" because of mediocre quality.  Found a local Chinese that opened at lunchtime which suited our small group.  Has anyone else noticed the dwindling numbers of Chinese restaurants?

Me too - not a fan of turkey, its all i can do to have it on Christmas Day.

Not that we have had an office party for a while (HINT!) but if I did go to any then i would always have the alternative.

There seems (or at least in these here parts) to be a rise in Indian restaurants and Zizzi style Italian, which has got my vote as never been much of a Chinese food fan.

(ps typo amended, but won't tell anyone )
