As some of you may or not know Twitter back in May last year introduced paid ads on there site this included special tweets, trends and various promotion tools on your account but allot of this service didn

Hmm it was only a matter of time. They need to monetize twitter to generate a return for all that investment money.

Going to be a fineline though, and I wonder if Twitters peak has passed, as prob 80% of tweets now are automated, and bots aren't really bothered by ads

Or is the start of a re-invention as the business model matures...

I don't think it will work I was a massive fan to begin with but then I saw it just ended up mainly spam.

Not right now. See its impacts on other businesses i.e. how other businesses are getting benefits from it.

From an advertising perspective Twitter has provided some leads in terms of business which is great but I still think Google+ or LinkedIn is going to be the social media site of choice for business in the future.

Twitter, in recent months, has started allowing small business owners to self-serve ads on the social network, but once I went through the process, I found out I needed a US address. GRRR! Thanks Twitter for sending me that email, even though my details are blatantly set as UK!

Anyway, can't wait to give it ago when it's FINALLY rolled out in the UK.

I have never tried using Twitter in my business since I have Facebook to help me but let see how it really works since I have twitter, I will start up this advertising.
