Thank you I will set the date again, and hopefully this time I will do it.

Well as a horrible January comes to a close, stressed because of a drop in retail sales, poor online sales and the threat of working for G4S as a probation officer has caused even more upset.

Guess what? In 3 weeks I will have been a non-smoker for 1 year and this thread has been viewed over 4000 times.

I am hoping Dreamraven will be joining me as a non smoker very soon.

Thanks,
Ray Priestley

I spent some time reading through the thread, and you took the change really well. You were strong and stubborn, and you didn't give up. Hopefully one day I can have that same resolve when its my turn to kick the habit.

Congrats on making it this far, and I hope that you never smoke again

Thanks,
Dreamraven

I bought the other half some electric cigarettes for Christmas, it was either that or up the life insurance on her. They do seem to work and there are massive benefits, she no longer snores, can now carry the shopping on her own, can clean the house in half the time it use to take her, can even run up and down the stairs with my morning coffee, so it now arrives hot rather than luke warm and my cornflakes no longer have a sprinkling of fag ash. She still on these electronic fags, but her health is so much better now, which is good because soon spring will be here and the garden will need digging over again...

Thanks,
Barney

I quit it for 8 months. But I back to smoking again. But this time around I smoke 2-3 max whilst I used to smoke around 10-20 a day 8 months ago.

I do like that image, thought about suggesting it to my wife, then I thought some more!!

Anyhow, this thread was started on the 29 February 2012. That is special becuase it was a leap year "but" I didn't post for dramatic effect, I just wanted to share the fact that I had stopped smoking.

It is now the 19th February 2013 and on the 26th February 2013 I will have been smoke free for 12 months, 1 year, 365 days. I can say that I am a non smoker

Thanks to everyone on MLF, its been a great year, you are all fantastic people and I will be back on the the 26th.

Thanks,
Ray Priestley

It was all you Ray. If you didn't want to do it and if you didn't push yourself the way you did, nothing we could have said or done would have changed a thing.

Congrats on making it this far. You deserve it.

Thanks,
Dreamraven

I hope you still smokes free by this time. If that so Congrats and keep it up!

Oh yes....19 months and I never think about smoking.

I am worried about the Bottle of whiskey that I drink every day, that could be an issue...

Only joking, everything in moderation

Thanks,
Ray Priestley

Inspiring. But for me, the longest I have gone without was about three days.

I have been a non smoker for 21 months. As we approach 2014 my job may be at risk but I have now got my health....

Hope you have another go at stopping dreamraven,

Thanks,
Ray Priestley
