*This shud be the hardest for me, but hope to get past it without any problems

Well how did it go?

Thanks,
Ray Priestley

Dangit, sorry for not updating, tis been a busy few days.

So far so good. Have had a few times where i was on the verge of giving up, but then just chewed down on my gum. Lol. My jaw muscles are getting a workout though lol. Have to keep changing snacks every now and then.

Thanks,

That fantastic news, I do keep my fingers crossed and I check in most days. I really want to celebrate my first smoke free year on the 25 February knowing you are well on your way to quitting too, by then you will be in to your second "month".

Thanks,
Ray Priestley

No one's lost their head yet as well, so I'm hoping I don't end up exploding at some point lol. Ah wicked. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to say that as well. Congrats Ray

Vanilla milk sounds really scrumptious.

You're entitled - nay duty-bound - to investigate lots of new ways to give yourself "treats" (it's not self-indulgence, it's "self-managing" and so A Good Thing!).

It's made by a company called Clover (if you want to take a look, tis under products - milk). Its my favorite of all their milks really, plus it helped me to get my daughters to drink more milk because they loved the vanilla twang to the milk (lol my youngest still calls it moo juice )

I wouldn't say duty, its more like trying to find a way not to tire myself out chewing all the time lol. The ones I have now (minus the gum tho) is about the best I could come up with from around these parts

You ladies! You can justify anything Right where's the chocolate...

You're doing well Sami 10/10, and nearly 12 months for Ray! Holy Moly.

With all the cash he's saved, I reckon he should organise a forum party and treat us all

Agreed, 10 out of 10 Dreamraven....keep it up, every day you go smoke free makes me smile and gets you one step closer to your goal. It does get easier honestly.

I genuinley think MLF helped me to stop smoking in the first place and I would love treat all those who encouraged me "but" (there is always a "but" in my job). Given Mr Grayling would now like me to work an extra 5 years, pay 30% more in to my pension pot, take a massive pay cut and work for G4S who will give me less holidays but expect me to work longer hours I guess my savings have pretty much gone!

If it is any consolation, the UK govenment gets 85% of the cost of a pack of cigarettes. In the last 12 months I have saved approx

Wish I had some good news, but I don't. I did it again. I had an extremely rough weekend (well, Sunday night anyway), and looked to the one thing that could keep me calm. Back to square one it seems. I'm sorry I let everyone down.

not to worry, each attempt is another step closer. I tried and failed four or five times before it happened. It is blue Monday today, according to those who know it is the saddest day of the year. So if there was ever a day to fall of the wagon this was it.
Try again when you are ready and I know you will make it.
Good luck x
