Thank you John, obviously you can track inbound traffic from GA, but is there any analytic's in Pinterest? ie how many likes you have had, how many repins etc? Other than having to look beneath each picture.

I can see my likes in the menu bar, but not the other way round.

Pinterest is best website to spread your business and get good traffic. Any registered user can use this website.

And it's simple and addictive! Haha

I'm really new to Pinterest myself, and have no idea how to market to this growing segment. You are right, most are women.

Has anyone thought about this? Taking some nice photos and submitting them to Pinterest. You could even have someone at fiverr.com take photos and then you could submit these?

What do you all think?

Can't you just upload your own? I've been uploading some ones I took on my travels around India, but adding a link back on each one back to the forum. Not sure if your supposed to that, but will be interested to see if it generates any traffic:

Just playing really

I'm intrigued to say the least with Pinterest. I'm going to upload some photos myself from my Iphone and link to my website. I haven't read the rest of the posts on this topic, is this alright to do? Oh, by the way I will have to look for your photos of India. I'm thinking of going there myself. How long did you spend there? Where did you go in India?

Signature wise, if that's what you mean you can link to whatever you want

India wise, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodphur, Jaislamer (my favourite), Udapipur, Mumbai and Kerala. Just over 3 weeks, but loved it. Deffo reccomend a trip

But threads going a bit off topic!

Anyone else having any success with pinterest? Or any negative feedback?

tried it before but i deactivated my account. it was more of a distraction than a business tool for me. however, i'm considering reactivating my account one of these days, mainly because I'm getting married soon and I need some wedding inspirations.

Well in answer to the original question of Pinterest - whose using it and what do you think? it would seem quite a lot of people are using it!
Pinterest saw a 1,047% increase in unique PC visitors, and is aiming to surpass LinkedIn this year. The social site that show the next highest growth was Google+ that saw an 80% increase in traditional web users. Pinterest

I've been experimenting with Pinterest for some time now. The B2B marketing and comms company I work for are also experimenting with it as a way to generate leads for our clients.

I personally don't think there is much value in Pinterest as a B2B social media marketing tool. It's a visual based network. Most B2B businesses would find it hard to find an attractive and interesting visual to represent their services, which is why I question how appropriate it is for B2B marketing. The only way I can find a way around this is in producing infographics to post on B2B services and products. But then I have to ask myself the question - who am I doing this for and who is likely to share it?
