Visited the local Homebase store today to purchase a couple of plants for the garden, managed to navigate the car park without some clown whacking my motor. Into the store, first 3 metres I'm stopped by a sales assistant and asked, "would I like to purchase a fairy cake"? Noticing the flies hovering above I declined and said no. Onto the garden section, picked four plants up and a couple of packets of seeds, back to the checkouts, each of the four checkouts had around 6 customers queuing, no big deal as I don't mind waiting. Customer in front of me has around

...the checkout staff got it wrong, had now been re-trained (within this hour?) And that all the checkouts now have note verification pens, and has offered me a gift voucher, but this stupid incident has wound me up all flipping day.....

lol love it, the staff have now been retrained

It sounds like you and Clive are 2 of a kind. This sort of thing normally happens to him, although he would have declined the free voucher, and escalated to head office demanding compensation, which after 15 phonecalls and 6 months, he would have eventually got...
