Who will be next?

So today we say goodbye to Glenn Frey from the Eagles, the other day it was Alan Rickman, and then of course the legend Bowie.

I was talking to HDM about the loss of Bowie and we speculated on who would be next. More in a sentimental "I'm feeling old" kind of way rather than being macabre.

Well on Sunday Dale Griffin, founder of Mott the Hoople who passed away at 67 after fighting alzheimers.

Today, it was Glenn Frey, so I wonder who will be the next veteran rocker/singer/actor to leave us?

On the plus side, there is some great music on the radio at the moment, Bowie, Eagles...

Actually ended up on the Facebook Celebrity deaths page just to cheer me up, and another blast from the past, Grizzly Adams has died

Must be something in the water...

I did hear that someone from Mott the Hoople had also died, but didn't catch who it was, so thank you for answering that. "All the Young Dudes" are now "All the Not So Young Dudes", and it makes me feel very old too

Just listening to Diamond Dogs on Radio X as I type, another timeless classic from the Dame.

There's enough up there to form a new band this month alone, maybe "All the Dead Dudes".

Yep I read in the Telegraph obits column, that Grizzly Adams had died which seems kind of strange as I use to watch that all the time as a kid. Yesterday the Daily Mail was kind of hinting that Nicholas Parsons hasn't got long before he's measured up for a wooden overcoat... I guess it just seems strange because we all grew up with these people who were constantly in the limelight and now their dieing, which means all of our lives are relatively short....All the 50s, 60's and 70s stars are now entering their 70s, 80s, and 90s...

Thanks,
Barney

Well to be honest all the celebs from the 70's either seem to be croaking it, or part of operation Yewtree

Anyone have any good news or shall i just go and find the nearest cliff

I think we need to arrange some kind of protective circle around some of the precious older celebs we love. I am petrified we'll lose Robert Redford, he's my favourite! It has been a sad time for celebs dying, and then it brings out the grief police telling people how upset they should be, then the grief police police telling those people to pipe down....got to love social media!

Thought he was already dead?

Apparently not - looks like there is a pending film about to be released with him in it - as its a live animation, not sure if he is in it or just doing a voice ... won't be seeing it as my kids are older

Can't believe no ones mentioned Cliff Richard
